It took me a while to get to this point, but I have to admit it - I love looking up Mary Kate Olsen. I love her dominatrix shoes, trademark hunch, and vintage bags. I like Ashley's style sometimes, too, but I don't think she pulls it off as well as MK. I'm also one of those people who think these girls look very different from each other. All the magic goes away, however, when MK cracks a smile. Then she's just cute.

THRIFTING

I just went thrifting for the first time in a long time. BF haunted the record collection and bought an armful. I got a beautiful dark green coat with a German label, a Harris tweed blazer, and a pie pan. I've never had a coat fit me like the green one. Even the BF was immediately taken with it, which is rare. Anyway, I'll take and post some photos later today. And yes we are celebrating Valentine's Day, just a day later because we want to avoid the rush!

Overall, it's a pretty decent sale. They have lots of bags and (Tod's) shoes. They have a pair of Lulus I was thisclose to buying in Charleston earlier this year. I was so happy to have found them for a similar price on eluxury, only to find that my size is out of stock. Happens.

J. CREW AT TJ MAXX

Yes, that day has come. I went to TJ Maxx today after work to see if it was true. It is. J. Crew has appeared at TJ Maxx. I saw shoes, but they seemed like the quality you'd find at the outlet (the stiff rubber sole kind). I saw driving mocs in my size but they weren't that pretty, so I turned them down at $20. There were linen dresses for $20. I was going to get a cap sleeved ruffle navy wrap dress but decided against it when I found a wool dress that reminded me of Audrey Hepburn. On the way out, I snagged a black 100% cashmere zipup cardigan for $14.99. It's practically the same one my boyfriend bought me for Christmas a few years ago for at five times that price. The cashier admired it for a long time, and asked me where I found it. My mom ended up taking it from me when I made it home (I visited her today and will be staying with them for part of the weekend). I can't believe it. J. Crew is really going down the tubes.
